Elixir Superfood & Juice, renowned for its vibrant and health-forward fast-casual dining experience, has opened its third company location in The Village at Rancharrah. Known for bringing together wellness and flavor, Elixir’s menu features warm bowls, crisp salads, nourishing blended açaí bowls, organic cold-pressed juices, and superfood smoothies—all crafted from fresh, thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Rooted in the philosophy that food is medicine, Elixir aims to energize bodies and inspire balance, leaving every guest feeling restored, refreshed, and better than when they arrived.
This latest opening marks Elixir’s second location in Reno and third overall, joining their founding store in Mammoth Lakes. Co-owner Alisa Mokler Harper shares, “The Village at Rancharrah is absolutely the perfect spot for Elixir, and we are thrilled to be partnering with a community that really aligns with our values. We believe in improving the well-being of our friends and neighbors by providing quick access to fresh, delicious food that nourishes the body and fulfills the soul.”
The concept behind Elixir began with founder Karla Perry, whose passion for nutrition sparked during her competitive college running days. After realizing her vegan diet lacked the energy needed for elite performance, Perry delved deeper into nutritional science at the University of Nevada, Reno, and Bastyr University. Her vision became clear: to offer healthful, readily available food that fuels and nurtures, filling a much-needed niche for healthy food on the go.
With its new Village at Rancharrah location, Elixir expands its reach to serve the South Reno community better. Mokler Harper adds, “While we love our Midtown spot, we know getting there can be challenging for many South Reno residents. Our goal is simple: provide quick, convenient access to truly healthy food.”
A cornerstone of Elixir’s promise is its 100% naturally gluten-free kitchen, along with its commitment to organic, non-GMO, and preservative-free ingredients. “We wanted to create a space safe for anyone with gluten sensitivity or allergies, which means no gluten-containing products are ever used in our kitchen to eliminate cross-contamination,” Mokler Harper explains. “We champion ‘Eating Real Food’—foods in their purest, most natural forms.”
Elixir doesn’t just stand out for nutrition; the team prioritizes five-star customer service, welcoming every guest with personalized attention to meet their unique needs and uplift their day.
Fan favorites at Elixir include the Ahi Poke bowl featuring line-caught, sustainable tuna paired with a house-made wasabi ginger sauce, and the Patagonia bowl loaded with warm quinoa, roasted sweet potatoes, black beans, and chimichurri sauce—offering options to add organic chicken or grass-fed beef for extra protein. For those seeking a sweeter, kid-friendly delight, their açaí bowls topped with homemade, gluten-free granola remain a crowd-pleaser.
To enhance convenience, Elixir offers an easy-to-use app for online ordering, while still welcoming guests to order in person either via friendly staff or self-service kiosks. Customers who order ahead can arrive and enjoy their meal immediately.
Beyond daily dining, Elixir also caters events and proudly partners with the Reno Aces, fueling the city’s baseball heroes with nutritious meals.
With its new presence in The Village at Rancharrah, Elixir continues its mission to nourish bodies, fulfill souls, and make healthy eating simple and accessible for more members of the Reno community.
